The Cycle Caledon Challenge

The Cycle Caledon Challenge (CCC) on July 27, 2013 is a bike tour for the cycling enthusiast. Starting and ending at the Caledon Ski Club West Lodge situated on the Niagara Escarpment, tour routes of 40 kms, 60 kms, 100 kms (metric century), and 160 kms (100 miler) will challenge cyclists with the rolling terrain of the Hills and Headwaters of the region.

Club Rides

Club rides start March 30th, 2013.

Meet on Perennial Dr. just west of 10th Line. We have posted a large array of routes that we have ridden since 2011 on Bikemap.net check them out

Sportif Ride departs at 8:55 AM. (Saturday and Sunday)
Sport Ride departs at 9:00 AM. (Saturday)

Learn to Ride

We will be holding our Learn to Ride course for new riders in late April. This one day novice riding camp teaches participants all the necessary skills of bike handling and group riding that forms the basis for club rides and road racing.

Club Try-A-Ride

Club Try-A-Ride day on Sunday May 5th and June 9th, 2013.

We will be holding Sport Rides for new riders interested in trying our club rides from our Perennial Drive start location to Georgetown and back, about 50-60 km.

The ride will start at 9:00AM with a short review of some road rules and essential skills followed by our ride north to Georgetown, a coffee break and the ride back, we should return by 12:30PM.

Background

The Mississauga Bicycle Racing Club (MBRC) is an incorporated, non-profit, member run organization located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

The MBRC organizes regular weekend group rides, a special Learn to Race course, as well as other bicycling related and social activities. We are mainly a road riding club promoting bicycle group riding and road racing for recreation.

Originally established in 1971 as a road racing team, MBRC members have competed at all levels in races throughout Ontario, Quebec, New York, and Pennsylvania. The Club has enjoyed successes in all categories.
